Butler Hubert Boyd

Mr. B. H. Boyd of Clinton

(Editorial, Spartanburg Herald)

In the sudden death of Mr. B. H. Boyd of Clinton, the South Carolina State Highway Commission suffers the loss of one of its most able members, who in the years he has served that district, and the state, has brought to bear upon the activities of that important body splendid qualities of judgment, uninfluenced by irrelevant issues.
Mr. Boyd was a graduate of Wofford College, but the greater portion of his active career was spent in his native county, where he was identified with its financial institutions.  His point of view, always constructive, was at all times responsive to the agricultural needs of Laurens county in which he was interested as a farmer himself.
Three surviving brothers of Mr. Boyd are residents of Spartanburg, long since established in this community.  Mr. Jesse W Boyd, Dr. W. W. Boyd, and Mr. C. Wesley Boyd.
