Prosperity, Aug. 16. Robert T. Pugh, prominent citizen of this town died at his home here Sunday afternoon after an illness extending over several months.  Mr. Pugh was formerly cashier of the People’s National bank, from which position he resigned to become general manager and treasurer of the Prosperity Cotton Oil mill.  He was 51 years old and a member of the Methodist church.  He is survived by his wife, who before marriage was Miss Joyner of Helena, Ga. And three sons and two daughters; Curtis, Robert, and Graydon, and Sara and Catherine.  He is also survived by his mother, Mrs. W. P. Pugh, one sister, Miss Salle Pugh, and one brother Dr. G. T. Pugh, formerly president of Columbia college and now connected with Winthrop college.  Interment took place at 5:30 o’clock yesterday afternoon.
Mr. Pugh was one of the foremost and most progressive business men of the town.
