Over the past year I have undertaken a project to learn as much about the old national banks of South Carolina as possible.  I am specifically looking for original photos and documents, post cards, and of course, bank notes.  I am also looking to find biographical information on former bank officers such as presidents and cashiers.  My main way of accomplishing this has been through library research, written letters, phone calls, and a lot of help from some great people.
          
I have already "discovered" about ten previously unrecorded notes, and a couple of great photos.  I am gathering all this information for my own knowledge, and if I ever get enough information on all of the SC banks I'd like to compile it into a book or online reference guide.
